27 Sep Long Awaited Kitchen Reveals
One of the most anticipated weeks in every season of The Block is kitchen week and this year’s did not fail to deliver. We run through our favourite parts of each teams’ reveal.
Kirsty & Jesse
We agreed with the judges that Kirsty & Jesse’s elegant navy Hamptons-style kitchen was the standout, complemented by the versatile Cemintel Edge cladding. The brass details on the cupboard pulls and tapware were a great touch.
Josh & Luke

Probably their best room yet with a soaring ceiling that included two large skylights as well as six pendant lights. Monochromatic black kitchen cabinetry complemented a marble-look island bench with an L-shaped timber hardwood benchtop created by Block favourite Christian Cole. It was a great touch.
Mitch & Mark

The couple had a few setbacks over the week (and we aren’t really sure about the large ‘M’ in the bench), but we loved the addition of decorative touches such as VJ sheets across the ceiling and the use of the house’s original bay window to create a lovely breakfast nook.
Ronnie & Georgia

Starting with a beautiful herringbone oak floor, they chose a Caesarstone marble-look island bench, splashback and rangehood, paired with warm grey cabinets and contemporary shaker-style cabinetry. The modern chandelier over the bench was a great style statement too.
Tanya & Vito

The colourful couple created a fun kitchen space this week. Their showstopper was their spectacular custom-made terrazzo benchtop, especially imported from New York. Circular skylights, contoured windows and high ceilings created an engaging space that complemented the mid-century style of their home.
